Please note that this guide is intended to be used with the official 2025 remake of the game—not the original 2002 version of Ever17, which has significant differences.This guide is partially based on sengou’s Japanese guide[dsadv.blog66.fc2.com] to the game. Preface
Like many visual novels, Ever17 is split into various routes corresponding to each heroine. When you restart the game to unlock new endings, you may occasionally encounter text that you have already read.Instead of rereading large amounts of text you’ve already seen, you can use the skip feature. This is activated by pressing E on the keyboard, and on controllers, by pressing the right shoulder button.Avoid using the force skip feature, which requires you to hold the Ctrl key or the left shoulder button. This will skip all text, regardless of if it’s been read or not.(Note: the website version of this guide[www.kirikiribasara.com] features checkboxes, which may make it easier to track which choices you've made and which choices are coming up. Check it out if you're interested!)
About the Route Order
The recommended route order is as follows: Tsugumi → Sora → You → Sara → Coco → Epilogue.This was supported as the “intended” play order by the original writers of the game, so this guide will follow it.Unlike the original Ever17, you are locked into completing either Tsugumi’s or Sora’s route on your first playthrough; You’s and Sara’s routes will become available on the following playthrough.
Tsugumi’s Route
Begin a new game, then make the following choices to proceed:Prologue: Wanna hear the ame-joke? What’s YOUR deal?Takeshi – May 1st: More importantly… I get it. Thanks. …Huh? Where did Tsugumi go?Takeshi – May 2nd: Look into Tsugumi’s eyes. Accompany Tsugumi? Follow her. She’s a system?Takeshi – May 3rd: It sounds somehow familiar. Have you eaten breakfast? Counterclockwise. Clockwise. Don’t go.When May 4th begins, save the game in slot 01. This will be referred to later as Save 01. (You can save in another slot if you want, but you will need to keep track of which saves are which as the guide progresses.)Takeshi – May 4th: I’m so glad you’re safe. I heard Tsugumi might wake up soon. Why goddesses? Stop her.Takeshi – May 5th: Ask her to tell me. Humans Console her. ResistAnd that’s all the choices there are to be made! Now just keep reading until reaching Tsugumi Route – Good Ending.
Sora’s Route
Begin a new game, then make the following choices to proceed:Prologue: Are you more interested in the lady’s explanation? Apologize. Why were my eyes closed…?Takeshi – May 1st: It’s not your fault. I don’t get it. We don’t need to play nice… …Like a guide? Where’s Sora?Takeshi – May 2nd: But, Sora… We should check on the others. Let her be. She’s our companion!Takeshi – May 3rd: I don’t think I know it. What were you researching? Clockwise Counterclockwise. Go. I do.Takeshi – May 4th: I’m sorry. Sora called me. Is our fate really determined? Don’t stop her.Takeshi – May 5th: Don’t resist. You’re not Sora. You’re not the Sora I know. Give me back the real Sora. Don’t disappear! Let’s save everyone!Now just keep reading until you achieve Sora Route – Good Ending.Now for the bad ending. Note that Tsugumi and Sora share the same bad ending.Load Save 01—the one we made at the beginning of May 4th.Takeshi – May 4th I’m sorry. Sora called me. Is our fate really determined? Don’t stop her.Takeshi – May 5th Don’t resist. Please, just stop. What are you doing, Sora?! Get out of my sight. Don’t disappear! Let’s save everyone!Do all that, and you’ll reach Takeshi Side – Bad End.
You’s Route
Begin a new game, then make the following choices to proceed:Prologue: Wanna hear the ame-joke? Stay quiet.Before the next choice, make a save in slot 02. This will be referred to as Save 02. What’s happening to me…?Kid – May 1st: Who are you? Take her hand. Are there no other escape pods? Ask You about the second voice. Look away.Kid – May 2nd: I understand. Go with You. Beauty is fleeting. Ask You. Follow You.Kid – May 3rd: I understand. If I tilt it… Tilt it almost completely vertically.Kid – May 4th:Before the first choice on May 4th, make a save in slot 03. This will be referred to as Save 03. You is You.Kid – May 5th: It doesn’t.With that, you’ll have gotten You Route – Good End.Now for the bad ending:Load Save 03—the one we made before the first choice on May 4th.Kid – May 4th: I don’t know.Kid – May 5th: It does.You’ll now get You Route – Bad End.
Sara’s Route
Load Save 02—the one we made in the prologue.Prologue: What’s happening to me…?Kid – May 1st: Where am I? Hesitate. Can’t we escape on foot? Don’t ask. Lock eyes with her.Kid – May 2nd: I don’t understand. Go with Sara. Ask Sara. Follow Sara and Sora. Follow Sara.Kid – May 6th: Before the first choice on May 6th, make a save in slot 04. This will be referred to as Save 04. Select “The Qualle” to see Sara Route – Good End. Then load Save 04 and select “The Lemurian Ruins” to see Sara Route – Bad End.
Coco’s Route
Begin a new game, then make the following choices to proceed:Prologue: Wanna hear the ame-joke? Apologize.Here’s where things get complicated. You can enter Coco’s route from either of the two protagonist’s perspectives. For the sake of completeness, this guide will cover how to do so for both, however, please note that it is generally recommended you do it from the Kid’s perspective, as without it, you’ll miss some exclusive scenes.We’ll start with Takeshi’s perspective. Any new choices that weren’t there on previous playthroughs are marked with italics. Why were my eyes closed…?Takeshi – May 1st: Dammit! Where’s the person in charge?! Did you hear something just now? I get it. Thanks. …Huh? Is she really just sleepy? Why did I feel sad back there?Takeshi – May 2nd: Look into Tsugumi’s eyes. Accompany Tsugumi? Follow her. She’s a system? Try it. I’m curious.And with that, you’re on Coco’s route.Now we’ll go over how to get there as the Kid.Prologue: What’s happening to me…?Kid – May 1st: Who are you? Take her hand. Are there no other escape pods? Ask You about the second voice. Really? 8 Lock eyes with her. Lead her out of the room.Kid – May 2nd: I understand. Shouldn’t we all go together? Ask You. Follow You. Try it.From here, Coco’s route is identical, regardless of whether you entered it from the Kid or Takeshi’s side.Coco Side Go to the control room, where You is. I don’t know. LIVE! LIVE! To the left.With that, you’ve successfully achieved Coco Route – Good Ending.Now all that’s left to do is the epilogue. Open up EXTRA on the title screen and select “BW Side.” This epilogue is entirely linear and has no choices. Once it’s done, you’ll achieve BW Route – Grand Ending.Congratulations, you’ve officially completed Ever17 – The Out of Infinity!
